In the exclusive interview Alicia talks about her beauty company Keys Soulcare, self care and her creative process. The Grammy winner explained she’s more concerned about the state of her soul than her skin and says; ‘Make sure your oxygen is good — that is the theme of this year for me. It brings us back to this idea of filling yourself up’.

Grammys 2021: Beyonce becomes most decorated female artist ‘ever’ at LA ceremony.

@beyonce walked away with the gongs for best R&B performance for Black Parade, best music video for Brown Skin Girl and best rap performance and best rap song for Savage – her collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion.

Bey wore a black mini dress, a custom @schiaparelli creation designed by creative director Daniel Roseberry, features a plunging neckline, off-the-shoulder sleeves, and gathered leather. She completed her look with matching gloves and black heels, and long, gold earrings, also from Schiaparelli.

Collecting her gong for best R&B performance for Black Parade, she said: “As an artist I believe it’s my job, and all of our jobs, to reflect time and it’s been such a difficult time.

“I have been working my whole life… this is such a magical night.”
She also paid tribute to the “beautiful black kings and queens” in the world.

And Beyoncé isn’t the only member of the Knowles-Carter family who’s won big this weekend: her daughter, Blue Ivy, received her first Grammy for Best Music Video. Blue starred in the video for “Brown Skin Girl,” a track off of Lion King album The Gift. At nine years old, she is the second youngest artist to ever receive a Grammy.

Rihanna only needs five minutes to get glam! The 33-year-old singer and beauty advocate demonstrated how to do a “five minute face”, in her selfie Instagram video. The glam-on-the-go look is perfect for “when ya bored but in a hurry,” Rihanna explained in the caption for her makeup tutorial video, which was set to the tune of her 2010 hit “S&M.”

RiRi started off the video by applying her Fenty Beauty  Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Powder Foundation that she raved as being “sumn special.” No liquid, no mess. After contouring her nose, Rihanna did the same to the hollows of her cheeks with her makeup brand’s Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer.

The “Love on the Brain” singer then gave herself a smoky brown eyeshadow look before giving her eyelashes an extra boost with the Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara. Following afterwards, Rihanna gave herself rosy cheeks with the Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in the pink “Petal Poppin” shade. For her finishing touches, Rihanna brushed on the Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil highlighter across her cheekbones and chin and applied  Gloss Bomb Cream Color Drip Lip Cream in the “Mauve Wive$” color on her lips.

Kerry Washington teams up with nail brand OPI.

In recognition of International Women’s Day, actress Kerry Washington teamed up with nail brand OPI to show off her latest manicure.

The actress took to Instagram and shared a video featuring herself wearing her OPI nail polish of choice, a bold burgundy-red.

“If fierce was a color, it would be OPI’s We The Female shade,” Washington captioned the post, referring to the shiny garnet polish she co-created in collaboration with the brand back in 2016 as part of its Washington, D.C. collection. “I am so proud that it’s a color that continues to inspire.”

In a press release out last week, OPI announced that Washington will take on the role of brand ambassador this year for the iconic nail brand’s 40th anniversary. Washington served as OPI’s first-ever creative ambassador in 2016, so it seems only fitting that the actress should partner with the company once again.

“I think so much of women’s empowerment comes from partnership,” Washington told People magazine in a recent interview. “I always want to partner with companies that don’t make women feel bad about ourselves and that don’t make it feel like the standards which we measure ourselves, that excellence is unattainable.”
